Grief coaching is for the space between surviving and figuring out what life looks like now. It’s not therapy, and it’s not advice. It’s a place to tell the truth about what you’re feeling, even the parts that make other people look away.
You can talk, cry, vent, or just sit quiet. Nothing has to be polished or “better.” We’ll look at how to keep living with the love that’s still here and what helps you get through the days that feel impossible.
Grief doesn’t get fixed here. It gets witnessed.
Grief coaching is a place to feel seen and heard without judgment or rush. It’s where you can say what you really mean and know it will be met with understanding. It’s time set aside just for you, where nothing has to make sense and everything you feel belongs. Some days you’ll have words. Other days you won’t. Both are ok. Showing up is enough.
Grief coaching is not a place to get “better,” because grief isn’t an illness. It’s not therapy, advice, or cheerleading. It’s not about moving on or letting go, and it’s not focused on silver linings or lessons. Nothing here is about fixing what can’t be fixed. This is simply a space where you don’t have to pretend, where your grief can exist exactly as it is, without explanation or apology.
We start with an assessment meeting on Zoom, a short and gentle conversation to see if grief coaching feels right for you. You can share a little about your loss, where you are now, and what kind of support you might want. There is no pressure to commit to anything. Sometimes just having that first talk brings a bit of relief.
If we keep working together, sessions are 45 minutes and focused on whatever is showing up for you that week. The love, the anger, the exhaustion, the emptiness. You can bring all of it. Nothing is off-limits.
Coaching gives you space to talk about your person, to say their name, and to find small ways to keep going. Not because the grief gets smaller, but because you start to find your footing again, one breath at a time.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Therapy often looks back at the past and works through mental health issues or diagnoses. Grief coaching focuses on where you are right now and what life feels like after loss. It is a conversation between two people, not a clinical process. We talk about your person, your grief, and how to live in a world that changed. You don’t have to have a plan or a goal. You just have to show up as you are.
The first session is a short consultation to talk about your needs and see if this is a good fit. It costs $15, which is refunded if we decide not to work together or applied to your first session if we do.
Regular sessions are $65 for 45 minutes.
Package rates are offered at a discount for those who prefer ongoing sessions.
If money is tight, please ask about sliding scale options or one of the limited pro bono (free) spots available each month. I do not want cost to be the reason you do not get support.
Grief does not only live in your mind. It lives in your body too. It shows up as a tight chest, a lump in your throat, tension in your shoulders, or that constant heaviness that does not go away. Your body remembers everything that has happened, even when your mind tries to move forward.
Body Grief Work helps release some of that weight. We use breath, gentle movement, and quiet focus to help your body let go of what it has been holding since your loss. This is not yoga and does not require flexibility or a certain level of physical fitness. Everything can be done from a chair. It is slow, simple, and made for real people in real grief.
Yes. Grief has no expiration date. Sometimes people need support years later, when everyone else has stopped asking but the pain is still there.
As long as it helps. Some people come for a few sessions, others stay for months. There’s no timeline. You stop when you feel ready.
Then you cry. This is the one place where that is ok. There is no need to apologize or hold it in. Grief needs somewhere to go.
That’s completely normal. Most people don’t. You just have to show up. We’ll start from where you are and go from there.
